The Matrix

Unfortunately, no one can be told what the matrix really is. You have to see it for yourself.
Morpheus: "Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Matrix really is. You have to see it for yourself."

Neo: "Woah!"

The Matrix

The Matrix is real. In the movies, The Matrix was symbolized as a computer simulation that is hooked into our brains with wires and computer code. The real Matrix consists of the program that we follow every day when we live our lives. The real Matrix is created throuth the media, and through our programmed interactions with our jobs and with each other. To break free of the real Matrix, one must operate not on logic, but on will. Do what you will, because the only things that stand in your way are only in your way because you believe they are. Do, believe, and feel as you want to. NOT as you are told.
Neo broke free from the rules of the matrix.

Porn Matrix

Refers to the endless clicking of links in 'thumb galleries' and 'link aggregators' that never actually leads to content, but just to more screens of dead links, complemented by advertisements for pay-sites.
Don't visit that site -- you'll just get caught in the porn matrix.

In the Matrix

In reference to being beyond backed-out, in which a person is so drunk, their body may be walking around but their mind is somewhere else aka in the matrix
Yea John is in the Matrix, he just downed 12 shots of Jameson!

the matrix

n. A trio of movies that managed to glorify existentialism, promote free-thinking, stimulate the atrophied intellects of the masses, modernize science fiction, lionize computer programmers and revive Keanu Reeves' career all in one go. In short, a triumph.
The Matrix has (pwns?) you.

Working for the Matrix

Working in a place, typically government or large organization, that is highly dysfunctional where one has to choose between the blue pill and be happy, and the red pill and be miserable. It's a reference to the world created in the movie "The Matrix."
Dude, this place is so bad, it's like working for the matrix, evil powers run it from backstage. It pays the bills though.
