Quiverfail

An adult raised in the “quiverfull” movement; a Christian fundamentalist mentality which encouraged parents to not use birth control and have as many children as conceivable to be “shot out” into the world “like arrows” to spread Christian fundamentalist values ingrained through restrictive homeschooling, lack of sex education, creationism verses science, etc.

A “Quiverfail” is an adult who has rejected their “quiverfull” upbringing, becoming an autonomous, science believing adult. The more rebellion, the higher the level of being a “Quiverfail”

“I’m a total Quiverfail: having sex outside of marriage, piercings, tattoos, consuming substances, having abortions, listening to rock music… the total opposite of the Christian fundamentalist arrow I was raised to be.”

“He came out as gay! Congratulations on being a Quiverfail!”

“Fellow Quiverfail over here! How many siblings did you grow up with? 5? 10? 12+ ?”
