Raffles Institution is supposedly the best school in Singapore, but the truth is that it is no different from the other schools on the island at all, if not worse in terms of student character and maturity. Most, if not all, of the students there treat other people as if they do not exist and walk with their noses in the air. They also love vandalising public property, and abusing the school's cats. However, nothing warms their cold and undead hearts more than torturing their teachers with loud nonsensical chants, lesson disruptions and disobeying them on purpose, which is the best evidence of how high their emotional intelligence (EQ) level is.
Max: Wow, I heard that you got into RI (the abbreviation for Raffles Institution), you must be really smart!

The instigators held a rally to further divide people into groups of white, brown, and black, since one human race was never going to be good enough for them not to find some shortcoming to pick at until everyone else gave in to the demands of the the group holding the rally, and wrote any new mandate they wanted written as a law or rule. They were the same kinds of people that always tried to divert people's focus from everyday reality to a Confederate statue nobody really paid much, if any attention to until the year everyone paid attention to it.
