Oyster is London’s travel smartcard. You can put your Travelcard or Bus Pass season ticket on it, add travel value (cash) to pay as you go or have a combination of both.

Oyster cards are also reusable. This means that when your ticket expires you can buy another on the same Oyster card, and when your travel value (cash) runs out, you can just top it up.

I used my Oyster to get to work today.

groin oysters

1. The soft, fleshy, irregularly shaped and occasionally briny male reproductive glands, encased in skin. Temperature sensitive, in colder climes they can be found clinging tightly to the underside of its host member. In warmer regions, they can often be found more loosely draped. After reaching maturity, they are known to produce pearls, similar to its more well known relative, the oceanic oyster, although the groin oyster typically produces them in necklace form. They are happiest when in close proximity to bearded clams and have been known to turn blue when deprived of that proximity. They are extremely sensitive to touch and prefer dark, warm, moist environments.

The correct way to consume groin oysters is to hold them gently in your mouth and swirl.
