You're being an unhelpful idiot to counteract me being a hyperhelpful genius Arjun.
Hym "I know I'm being watched you fucking idiot that is literally my entire thing and you are being deliberately unhelpful to piss me off being you want me to murder children so you can escape your own culpability in the lead up to the child murder. Trust Me, I know what I'm doing

A phrase often usd by people who don't really know what they're doing.

This catch phrase was often used by the 80's TV cop Sledge Hammer right before he does something that results in some sort of catastrophic event or disaster.
Captain Trunk: Sledge, you cannot disarm that nuclear bomb!

Sledge Hammer: Trust me, I know what I'm doing.

(A nuclear explosion ensues thus ending the season finale of Sledge Hammer)

How would I know

Usually said when someone asks you a question that you really don't want to answer, but they won't leave you alone until you answer it. Usually you should say this when your little brother asks you a stupid question and it will cause him to leave you alone and ask your parents.
Little Bro- " Why do girls have cooties???
Me * precedes to browse twitter and facebook*
Little Bro- " I said, Why do girls have cooties!!!!"
Me " How would I know you spoiled piece of shit!!! Get the fuck outta here before I back hand your remedial ass!!"

how did i know

Used to mean you knew something was going to happen without prior explicit knowledge.

Usually used with emphasis on "how" and sounds like a statement, rather than a question.
your friend is calling you on the phone: "how did i know" - implies you knew they were going to call you, whether you really did or not.
