Hooroo

An Australian way of say goodbye. Originates from the practice of lonely guys out in the bush, who after meeting and talking of their plight would often say goodbye before going off to "Hoo a Roo". Roo is a shortened name for the Kangaroo and Hoo comes from the sound said Kangaroo makes when surprised from behind.

Guys would say "Time to Hoo a Roo" on parting and this gradually became shortened to Hooroo.

Bruce: Crikes it's getting late, mate, I should probably get back.
Shelia: No worries, mate, see you for the shearing competition tomorrow. Hooroo.
Bruce: Hooroo

adj. a word used to describe a strange feeling that you can't really put a name on; when something doesn't really hurt and yet, it doesn't feel quite right; a feeling that isn't exactly the same as nauseous, but almost.

Oh, man, I drank too much last night...I'm feeling a little hoojie now. I think I'll go take a nap.

Hoorag

An article of clothing used as an acessory to the modern day bowfisher to help them from sucking in bugs as they breathe. Most people who wear these bandana like pieces are better known as mouthbreathers and it is to be expected for them to group together and try to appear stronger than normal when provoked into "Defense" mode.

Little Tommy thought that he needed to wear a Hoorag to prevent bugs from entering his mouth while bowfishing. Once his daddy slapped him in the mouth and his lips swole shut, he soon realized that this was a silly marketing ploy to help some nobody try and be a somebody.
