Camping

Sitting in one spot in an FPS game.

1) A perfectly acceptable strategy if guarding an objective, or sniping.

2) An unacceptable strategy if sitting anywhere that does not have an objective in the immediate area and with a weapon meant for close to medium engagement.

Person 1: "Watch out for the camping sniper, he's covering the flag."

Person 2: "I'm more worried about the guy camping the hallway with the M60, waiting for someone to run by."

An outdoor activity where you leave behind electronic luxuries like gas stoves, microwaves, refrigerators, televised and internet entertainment, etc and 'camp' in a wooded area, using wood fires, sleeping in a sleeping bag or tent.

OR

Taking a strategic position in a video game, and holding that position for more than 30-75 seconds while playing and at the keyboard / controller, or consecutively using said position multiple times over a long period to ensure survival or advantageous play.

eg1: we went camping last week, had smores, ate fire-cooked hot dogs, got lots of mosquito bites, and when we came back, we all had many online notifications to look at.

eg2: this guy has been camping that corner every 3 minutes, i'm so tired of running into him there, he kills me 80% of the time and just UGH, find a different spot to play the game at, what a loser.
