Etymology: Blend of prostate and virginity. First attested when men realised their doctor's finger was a one-way ticket to a new kind of innocence lost.

1. a. The state of a man who has not yet sacrificed his rectal dignity by submitting to a prostate check conducted with a doctor’s lubricated finger. The retention of one's 'back-door innocence'.

1. b. By extension, the irrational, often comedic fear among men of having a physician or nurse put a glove on and perform the 'finger-up-the-bum' examination.

2. Humorous. A highly guarded or celebrated status among men who are actively avoiding the realities of aging and mandatory health screenings.

The sheer prostginity of the patient was so intense he claimed he had to immediately leave the office to retrieve his wallet, which was 'out in the car.'
