A Trevor Story

A trevor story is one that has absolutely no importance or significance to anyones life, or day or anything at all but is still called out in a way that makes the audience feel like it is about to be a highly entertaining/important story when it in fact is actually not and provides a large sense of boredome and wasted time for the listener(s)

So I have to tell you something really important, okay well the other day my dog gace me the head nod it was really really funny... oh my god i just told a trevor story didn't I? Dammit.

Christmas tree surfing

Holding on/sitting on a Christmas tree and being dragged around while it is pulled by a vehicle. This is accomplished by tying one end of a rope to the tip of a Christmas tree and the other end to a tow hitch on the vehicle. The rider sits on the tree and then the driver pulls him/her around along with the Christmas tree, and hence "surfs" across the street/lawn.

Did you hear about the guy who wiped out while Christmas tree surfing? He hit a parked car and is now in the hospital!

Artificial Trending Loop

When it appears that something is a trending topic on a blogging or social website for the sole reason that readers are posting messages asking why the topic is trending. Also when a legitimately trending topic continues to trend even after its topicality is lost because curious latecomers continue to relay it.

Why is Jar Jar Binks trending on Twitter? That movie was back in the late 90s!

Oh, look at all of these tweets asking why Jar Jar Binks is trending. He must be on an artificial trending loop.

Like a clothing trend, but for your personality. A certain persona that everyone wants to have. Usually happens with girls who want guys to like them.

First, all girls wanted to be perfect, then they wanted to be clumsy, then they wanted to be confident, then they wanted to have a lack of confidence, then they wanted to be normal, then they wanted to be happy all the time, then music was their entire life, and now they always want to be depressed and have issues.
