meta-ism

Metaism is a critical theory which can be generally applied to art, literature, and philosophy. First used primarily by young, self-ascribed intellectuals in the early 1990's, it remains the only theory to attempt to combine historical, cosmological, authorial, readerly, inter- and subtextual analysis techniques.

feminism and other -isms fail only in that as critical discourses they are incomplete; meta-ism describes the totality of human experience, and is by it's own metality capable of critiquing itself. In that way, it is also error correcting, at least until error itself becomes obsolete.

Meta Maggot

A term used typically in a video game toward players who firmly believe that it's only necessary to use Characters or strategies that are "popular", "high tier", or simply put, "meta". In most cases, Meta Maggots Disparage players who prefer less popular strategies who take a more unique approach to games, or otherwise, purely for enjoyment.
Being a Meta Maggot is commonly mistaken as a skilled player, but rather a player who is copying another player's successful strategies, allowing the meta maggot player to appear skilled for copying the strategy of a skilled player.

"Can you please stop being a meta maggot for once, and actually think for yourself? You might enjoy the game more."

The meta maggot insisted on playing as Fox in Super Smash Brothers Melee since Fox is considered top tier/meta.

The meta maggots absolutely hated the Valkyrie profile FFBE unit banner because all the units didn't fit in the game's competitive meta scene.

The meta maggot refuses to play with any players in Monster hunter world that uses Sword and Shield types, because they are a niche weapon style.
