Los Angeles Angels Of Anahiem

Formerley the Los Angeles Angels, changed teams name to California Angels. Disneyland then purchased the team and changed their name to the Anaheim Angels. Disneyland sold the team to Art moreno who attemted to change the teams name back to the Los Angeles Angels, but ran in to trouble when the City of Anaheim advised Mr Moreno a contract was signed with the the team, when it was owned by disneyland agreeing it would contribute money to restoration of Anaheim stadium if the Angels would keep the Anaheim in their team name.The City said it would challenge him in court to keep the name Anaheim. Art Moreno and his legal advisers found a loop hole and the new team is now called The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

The circumstance that surrounds this name change is quite unfortunate. The Angels are Orange County and Orange County is the Angels. There is a magic(example: rally monkey) that will not understood by the inhabitants of Los Angeles. The name of this excellent organization should be changed back to Anahiem Angels immediately before further degradation is made.

Los Angeles Angels? Who are they? No one in LA cares about the Angels.

Los Angeles

1. City that has: lots of traffic, many suburbs, industry, a busy airport, a busy seaport, multiculturalism, beaches, mountains, upscale shopping, the movie industry, strained race relations, a corrupt but improving police department, a decent music scene, a high but declining crime rate, and a major inferiority complex to New York.

2. City that lacks: seasons, a decent public transit system, quality architecture (though Disney Hall is a step in the right direction), an actual downtown, and culture that is not affiliated with the electronic media (theatre, opera, etc.).

3. City that needs: everything that it lacks, though there's not much that can be done about seasons.

Overall, a great city that gets a bad rap for its shortcomings. There are better, and there are worse.

As for you, Cukamonga Kid or whatever your name is. I doubt you've been to New York, so quit comparing LA to a place that you don't know about.
