A term that originally means a type of economic policy used in most countries today, balancing free-market capitalism with minor elements of socialism. Unfortunately, the term has been weaponized by some online users as a verbal attack against any person that disagrees with them, especially in a political context. In other words, it has basically become a euphemism for the "f-bomb" in both online and real life politcal forums.
"Can't you believe Candidate X? He wants to enact a policy that I personally don't like. The neoliberals are at it again!"

Get the 《¤》Norolith《¤》noroUlith《¤》norolitH《¤》 mug.A modern-focused entity documenting the casualties of the late-20th-century ideological turn towards deregulation, privatization, free trade, and the dismantling of the welfare state. Its memorial extends beyond direct deaths to include victims of deindustrialization, the opioid crisis, for-profit incarceration, student debt slavery, and communities left behind by globalization. It portrays neoliberalism not as an economic theory but as a lived, lethal social reality.
Victims of Neoliberalism Memorial Foundation Example: The foundation could create a memorial wall with the names of Victims of Neoliberalism like the former factory worker who died of a "disease of despair," the public school teacher who lost their pension after privatization, and the family who lost their home in the 2008 foreclosure crisis—linking each to specific policy decisions.

Justification against Victims of Neoliberalism Example: “We had to privatize the water supply and raise rates to attract investment and ensure long-term efficiency. Yes, some can’t pay, but vouchers are available. The old system was unsustainable.” This justification frames a loss of a public good as a tough, responsible choice, painting victims as casualties of progress against backwardness.

Get the Justification against Victims of Neoliberalism mug.Explaining neoliberal harms through a lens of technocratic inevitability and complex global dynamics. It uses the language of “there is no alternative” (TINA), “global realities,” and “market confidence” to make social devastation seem like the result of impersonal, expert-managed forces, not political ideology.
Rationalization against Victims of Neoliberalism Example: A news analyst explaining pension cuts: “With an aging population and global bond yields under pressure, reforms were mathematically unavoidable to avoid a sovereign debt crisis.” This rationalization replaces ideology with a narrative of mathematical and economic destiny, removing human agency and choice from the equation.
