To embarrass a hot-linking image thief, by replacing your site image links with rude and displeasing images revealing the art thief or hot-linker to be what they really are. Mongrel.me succeeded in this task and inspired this definition.

"The thief continued to steal images from Jack's website claiming them as their own, and using the images from his site stealing the bandwidth , so he decided to pull a Mongrel and replace the original image links with bestiality porn pictures and angry cats."
