1. A band that changes it's style for stupid teenybopper girls and getting more money, even though they already have tons of it.

2. A word used by teenaged wannabe goths/punks to sound hardcore. Those people usually come up with bullshit reasons like "WE DON'T WANT TO CONFORM TO SOCIETY" and say "THEY BECAME POPULAR AND STARTED TO SUCK".

1. Good Charlotte, Maroon 5, Blink 182.

2. "OMG OMG I WANT TO SOUND HARDCORE I CRAVE TO BE HARDCORE SO I SAY THEY ARE A SELL OUT".

1. what happens when "person A" listens to an unpopular band to set themselves apart from the crowd, then that band becomes popular and all the people that "person A" hates (usually from school) enjoy that band too. because of this "person A" will get angry at their band and say they are sell outs.

2. when "person A" goes to the grocery store looking for an item and it is not in stock.

1. oh man, green day/blink 182/system of a down/the used/slipknot/mudvayne/john mayer have totally sold out because all the populoids (popular kids) have started to listen to them!

Sell-Out Genre

A genre of music which is sort of like pop or R&B, but is entirely created by rich producers who engineer it just to sound appealing to retards. These producers then find an untalented and somewhat attractive vessel through which to spread their awful music and acquire undeserved wealth.

Some famous Sell-Out artists include, Ke$ha, Jason Derulo, Justin Bieber and many young artists created by Disney who are famous amongst the mentally challenged for their acutely similar songs which is very comfortable for their fans, who are disconcerted by change, much like infants. These retards subsequently keep the Sell-Out genre alive and real music dead.
