oldtroon

Whereas the term "oldfag" is often used as a term of endearment for old members of a web forum, "oldtroon" is used to deride the subset of oldfags, or supposed oldfags, who can't shut the fuck up about how le heckin' wholesome things used to be on a particular web forum or within a particular subculture. The prototypical oldtroon has either undergone troll's remorse, been longhoused or pussywhipped, and has likely trooned out. The oldtroon, in a futile attempt to justify their own faggotry, will often mentally retcon the forums they once participated in as being "wholesome", when, in reality, said forums had never been as gay as the oldtroon became.

The term was first coined on 4chan sometime in the early 2020s, but has seen more prominent usage among Soyjak Party and Xitter users.

After iDubbbz started walking back some of his edgier content, people began calling him an oldtroon for constantly reminiscing about how the internet was once only ironically edgy, while claiming that the newer users are genuinely edgy.

Golden oldie

A golden oldie is a old person. Typically old people are weak and has limited mobility but a golden oldie is the opposite. Even if they are old they are still very healthy and is still successful in their field. You use this word for people who are no longer young but still successful.

Note: Calling an old person "oldie" will sound disrespectful.

My Grandpa is a golden oldie, he still plays rugby at the age of 77
