1. information outlets disseminated via the Internet, usually associated with (though not necessarily) the highest viewed pages, therefore representing the majority of media that consumers are likely to encounter;

2. any Internet source that presents information in the form of news, reviews, gossip blogs, etc. Examples include Upworthy, XDA Developers, TMZ, among others.

3. compare, 'mainstream media.'

Usage Notes: Not to be confused with Adobe's ActionScript object class, 'Netstream.'

Style Guide: Writers should follow their preferred style guide in determining the singular form for 'netstream media.'

A person who has a intense love, interest, enjoyment, and/or approval with tape-based media formats (such as VHS, Audio cassettes, Betamax tapes, 8mm video/Video8 tapes, Hi8 tapes, MiniDV tapes, etc.). They have existed since the invention of magnetic tape.

Mainstream Media

Refers to the major tv networks, radio stations, magazines and newspapers who are tightly regulated and controlled by governments and the elite in order to mislead, brainwash and control the masses.

Kelly: “I’m really scared about COVID, they said on the tv that cases were up 50% in the last week”.
Ben: “Oh don’t take any notice, it’s just Mainstream Media nonsense”.

Foward Fleet Marine Force unit responsible for giving a bad taste about military life to a large number of first term Sailors and Marines. Often cited as the worst command in military history. Life onboard described as unbearable and comparable to life in a Nazi concetration camp though the treatment of Sailors and Marines may be worse than tsuffered by holocause victims.
