Liar

A statement made to dishonestly mislead another person.

The term is too broad. There needs to be three separate words.
One word where the liar has the intention to advantage themselves to the detriment of others. “I will clean my room today.”
One word where the liar has the intention to advantage the recipient of the lie without any detriment to the liar. “You did a very good job.”
One word where the liar has no intention to advantage or disadvantage anyone. “There is a Santa Claus.”

Pretty Little Liars

An amazing and captivating book series by Sarah Sheppard. The books are not only filled with amazing plot and suspense but are also quite addictive. However, this book series (like many others of its kind) was completely butchered when it arrived on the TV. Not only did ABC family completely mess up the character's appearances (which threw avid PLL fans off) but they also made major changes to the plot that completely ruin the storyline.

Hey did you see the new episode of Pretty Little Liars?

Yeah, but I can't believe that they figured out Ali was dead in the first episode. That's not supposed to happen until later. The books are way better/
