Cognitive Dissonance States that contradicting cognitions serve as a driving force that compels the mind to acquire or invent new thoughts or beliefs, or to modify existing beliefs, so as to reduce the amount of dissonance (conflict) between cognitions.

You do a boring job, but is paid $30/hour, so you say that is a nice and interesting job....'well, it is not cognitive dissonance, I think is a great new job!!'

You are deciding about two movies, your girlfriend wants to see the most boring one so after the cinema, you think it was a good movie and cool after all.

Concierge

A person that works for a hotel or hotline who sets up reservations. The daily job responsibilities can range anywhere from dinner, tours, hotels, airlines, spa appointments, escort services, transportation to and from seedy areas of town to purchase illegal substances and/or prostitutes, setting up amenities to be delivered to a gentleman's mistress and himself in their room that his wife will call and inquire about because it appears on her credit card statement (though the concierge is held to strict privacy policies and will be unable to divulge said information), regular and routine disinfecting of work surfaces to prevent the spread of Hepatitis C, and manicures.

Furthermore, concierges are not responsible for preventing spouses from finding out whether or not his or her partner is cheating. They are not considered "private investigators" and should not be asked things such as "Who is that little TRAMP staying in the room with my husband? I demand to know the truth, I am his WIFE." However, just because it is not in the concierge's job description does not mean that the concierge will not have to perform many different duties such as "covering up for cheating husbands" or "dodging creeps looking to score a date with the concierge".

So when I checked into the hotel I asked the concierge if she wanted to go on a date with me. She said she wasn't allowed to go out with guests. So I told her that I was looking for someone that wasn't an expensive date and asked if one of her girlfriends wanted to go out with a rich sugar daddy for the evening. She said she wasn't comfortable assisting me in such endeavors. I think I'm going to talk to her general manager about how she refused me and my untouched penis service.

conciliary

a non gang member who is friends with a gang member and does not involve himself in regular membership activities. (i.e. shooting up a neighborhood or initiation ceremonies)

Eric is friends with Jose. Jose is a blood. However, Eric is not associated with the gang. Eric is simply friends with one member. Eric is a conciliary.

Condi

Her full name is Condaleeza Rice and she is the Secretary of State. No matter what side of the political fence you sit on, you have to admit that Condi has it going on. She is one of our time's most powerful women, and she'll kick your ass. Literally, considering that she was featured in her own mini work-out program in March. Also, she is a freaking genius. She has read Tolstoy's War and Peace in its original language of Russian. In addition to Russian, she speaks German, French, and Spanish fluently. Before becoming Secretary of State, she was a professor at Stanford, and she has been interested in international affairs since she was a teenager. Condi has been on the Board of Directors of nine different corporations, including Hewlett-Packard, Charles Schwab, and Chevron gas.

I would vote Condi president even if she was a democrat, because she knows how to run things.
