Rookie Hole

An on-the-fly term coined by Twitch Streamer xQc during an argument with HasanAbi.

The "Rookie Hole" is when, during an argument, or in public discourse, one party makes an inference in the broader context of the subject based on a small bit of out of context material, or by making assumptions using another party's knowledge who has no direct involvement. Streamers fall down the "rookie hole" when, in large drama situations, proxy arguments brew that have nothing to do with the actual subject at hand.
"Did you see that 2 hour rant my streamer did on a single tweet?"
"Uh-oh he fell down the rookie hole again..."
