pygmalionism

1 term referring to the myth where a mysoginistic artist seeks to create a statue more beautiful than all the women in the world because he believes them to all be terribly flawed. He ends up creating the most beautiful statue ( names it Galatea) and falling in love with it because it is "perfect" because he made it. He drives himself crazy with longing for the statue, going so far as to dress it up and leave it food. Aphrodite takes pity on him because she sees he has atoned for his hatred of women and makes Galatea come alive. Pygmalion and Galatea are married and live together "happily ever after".

Pigmealion

Da ancient Greek-mythology character whom everyone's favorite temperish chubby pink female Muppet dreams dat Kermit had been --- i.e., someone who liked "porky" individuals like her, and who would always give her generous portions of food whenever she was hungry.

Perhaps Miss Piggy might also fantasize a third attribute in her "Pigmealion" version of da meek lowly Kermit --- in da "frog of her dreams", he would not only "lay pearls before swine" (i.e., he'd love her porcine species so much dat he would lavish her wif beautiful costly gifts) and constantly pander to her gluttonous appetite, but he would also "roar and claw" at anyone and anything dat she was less than totally happy to have around.
