Someone who is well calculated and a polished liar. Manipulators are usually undetectable, and some may not act for personal gain but for a larger goal. Some do not put other's in danger for the sake of the gain, but it is common that they do. A true manipulator's personality is nothing similar to the way they are seen by others, and is more often than not nonexistent.

People who trick others by twisting the facts and oftentimes turning people against each other. Makes themselves look like the good guy by making everyone else look bad. Often turns friends against each other using misinformation. The only way to discover a manipulator is by exposing their lies. They are two-faced, so all you have to do is tell their victims what the manipulator is saying. Warning: this will make you a target, although you probably already are. Their common tactics include pity parties and the blame game. Manipulators usually have a goal in mind.
Ashlyn: Shawn talked bad about Justin, but then blocked me and played with him instead. Later on, he had the gall to ask me if I would buy him a fortnite skin.
Michaela: Why would he do that?
Ashlyn: I dunno. I guess he's just a manipulator.

Person 1: you're trying to manipulate me again!
Person 2, crying on command: wow, that actually really hurt my feelings...I can't believe you'd say something like that...
Person 1: w-wait, I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that! How about we...uh...go get some fast food?
Person 2: fine.
