hip-hop

Hip-Hop is a genre of music that used to be good, and now sucks the sweat off a dead man's ballsack, and whose song lyrics are entirely comprised of the words: Booty, Butt, Ho, Slut, Biiatch, Trick, Pimp, Player-hater, muthafucka, and the N word. Often times, rappers, once dirt poor, are now filthy rich, so they decide to sing about how much bling they have and how many women they have had sex with. All rappers--regardless of ethnicity or social backgroung all talk, walk, sing, and grab their nuts exactly alike.
An example of a hip-hop song:

Now dis is a message fo' all mah hos-
You better got booty and you better got blo-
That's just somethin dat choo muthafuckas gotta know-
Oh and another thing, cuz I'm black go figger
Just so you know this ain't Eminem I'm gonna say the word "nigger!"

Hip-Hop: By One of the many Great MC's

Yo once again it's the Big L, that kid who got much props
from killin corrupt cops, with motherfuckin buck shots
So don't step to this, cause I got a live crew
You might be kinda big but they make coffins yo' size too
I was taught wise, I'm known to extort guys
This ain't Cali, it's Harlem nigga we do walkbys
No one can match me, tax me or wax me
If you want me to write you some raps G just ask me
Cause on the shelf is where your LP cold stood
Because it was no good, that shit ain't even go wood
I'm not the type to take sluts out, I just fuck they guts out
Get my nuts out, then break the fuck out
Me being a virgin, that's idiotic
Cause if Big L got the AIDS every cutie in the city got it
Once a nigga tried to stick me for six G's
and I put more holes in his ass than swiss cheese

hip-hop

Hip-hop, as a whole, is the revolutionary way of observing the world around you. Without a doubt, hip-hop is an objective way of persceiving the actions of those both abroad and at home, and transferring the way you feel about them into one of the many creativities. Since the dawn of Afrika Bombata, hip-hop has taken the streets of natinos everywhere by storm, but unfortunately, and to my personal dismay, little microphone bitches like Lil Jon and Gay Unit have taken over mainstream rap, giving a bad name to emcee's and spoken word poets everywhere. A few things recognizable to hip-hop:

-most commonly the spoken word that rhymes, has a sick beat, and hits the body and soul with powerful meaning. I.E. Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Jedi Mind Tricks, Canibus, and Immortal Technique

-Graffiti, while also considered an art of the hip-hop regime, has become globally renowned world wide.

-Breakdancing has unfortunately become a dying form of self-expression.

-DJing is probably the most important aspect of underground hip-hop musicianship, because, hey what bitch ever rhymed without a bomb beat? Now this goes to say that any emcee who can go crazy acapella deserves props but not an amount of respecting matching beated musicians.

-Beat boxing is undoubtably the most intriguing of all the hip-hop arts. Musicians of the beat-box genre make noises and sing both alone and toghether making beats that sound like drums and other funky noises. This is probably the most mysterious of the hip-hop arts.

-Slam poetry is personally one of my favorite aspects of Hip-hop culture. With both rhyme and intelligence, emcees of slam poetry spit lines directed at problems today and those directly connected to the emcee themselves.

These are just a few of the aspects on the hip-hop ballot. Make sure never to listen to G-Unit, eminem, dr dre, lil jon, chingy, nelly, jay z's new shit, or any of that bullshit insult to hip hop.

check out some talib or some hieroglyphics. Big ups...

Listen tosome real hip-hop not the crap you heard hip-hop haters you don't know shit about hip-hop this goes to the guy who said its the same as rap:
The same thing as rap "music" (and I use the term VERY loosely); in other words, complete and utter bullshit.

Hip-Hop is worthless, I.Q.-sapping garbage.

Don't judge it if you are ignorant.Like one guy said in a review "If the low end theory(an album) by a tribe called quest isn't music then music doesn't exist".Hip-hop is more that what mtv plays and the thugs.Waaaay more.I got sick of people judging it.Listen to real hip-hop like De la Soul or A Tribe Called Quest or Digable Planets and you will understand what i mean. It's way more artistic the music by digable planets by the mostly wack metal.Don't judge hip-hop when you are ignorant and don't understand it.It took me 5 years to learn about hip-hop.How can you judge it by some videos you saw on mtv and from what you heard about the wack 2pac?
i was writing many lyrics of many songs but i had to deleted it because some words was containd meny times but i will paste only from one song:
Artist: De La Soul
Album: Buhloone Mindstate
Song: I Am I Be

Verse 1

I am Posdnous
I be the new generation of slaves
here to make papes to buy a record exec rakes
the pile of revenue I create
But I guess I don't get a cut cuz my rent's a month late
Product of a North Carolina cat
who scratched the back of a pretty woman named Hattie
Who departed life just a little too soon
and didn't see me grab the Plug Tune fame
As we go a little somethin' like this
look ma, no protection
Now I got a daughter named Ayana Monay
And I can play the cowboy to rustle in the dough
so the scenery is healthy where her eyes lay
I am an early bird but the feathers are black
so the apples that I catch are usually all worms
But it's a must to decipher one's queen
from a worm who plays groupie and spread around the bad germ
I cherish the twilight
I maximize, my soul is the right size
I watch for the power to run out on the moon
(And that'll be sometime soon)
Faker than a fist of kids
speakin that they're black
When they're just niggas trying to be Greek
Or some tongues who lied
and said "We'll be natives to the end"
Nowadays we don't even speak
I guess we got our own life to live
Or is it because we want our own kingdom to rule?
Every now and then I step to the now
for now I see back then I might have acted like a fool
Now I won't apologize for it
This is not a bunch of Bradys
but a bunch of black man's pride
Yet I can safely say
I've never played a sister by touching where her private parts reside
I've always walked the right side of the road
If I wasn't making song I wouldn't be a thug selling drugs
But a man with a plan
and if I was a rug cleaner
betcha Pos'd have the cleanest rugs I am.

Verse 2

The Plug Two brand with the flavour
in the flute watch the sniffin'
so a sack of shows in demand
I read the diction from the second page
I got the one-two gauge
baritone to the izm fan
Trees fall so I can play ground with my ink
So let me need ya to my ems go
I push the infinite and carry it
My carrier's the three over one
so my pluggins already know
Lick shots with moo
catch the boo
from a ghost in the heckling crowd
if I give a foot
Jack Ville caught a spill
when a still came from my mouth
I brought a head down south
I don't check for the noose and the neck
So I never tell my ems
that finesse is knocking at my door
I choose to run from the rays of the burning sun
and dodge a needle washing up upon a sandy shore
I bring the element H with the 2
so ya owe me what's coming when I'm raining on your new parade
It's just mind over matter
and what matters is
that the mind isn't guided by the punished shade
I keep the walking on the right side
but I won't judge the next who handles walking on the wrong
Cuz that's how he wants to be
No difference, see
I wanna be like the name of this song I am

Verse 3

I am Posdnous
I be the new generation of slaves
Here to make papes to buy a record exec rakes
the pile of revenue I create
but I guess I don't get a cut cuz my rent's a month late
The deeds of a natural
are seeds that are no longer planted
so the famine in the mind is strong
Tactics of another plane is now proven sane
Sane enough to let you know from within this song
I stabilize many cableized viewers
So my occupation's known
But not why I occupy
And that is to bring the peace
not in the flower but the As-Salaam Alaikum in the third I am

hip-hop

An alarming recent trend is seen in commercial music journalists, djs/vjs, etc. calling any music with a dj and mc "hip-hop." In doing this they obfuscate the distinction between rap and hip-hop. Rap is visceral; hip-hop is cerebral.

Rap has its own integrity, equal to that of hip-hop, as was shown in the old school (78 - 83) and Golden Age (84 - 93) years (all dates are approximations).

Rap is currently much more commercially successful and generally popular than hip-hop, and in its current expression has been watered down by the demands of commerce. (see: hip-pop). By contrast, hip-hop is undergoing a bit of a rennaisance, whose crystallisation was marked by the release of such albums Black Star by Mos Def and Talib Kweli in the late nineties.
Rap: Run DMC, Public Enemy, Eric B. and Rakim, Doug E. Fresh and Slick Rick, Beastie Boys, N.W.A./Dr. Dre, LL Cool J, Grandmaster Flash, BDP, Big Daddy Kane, Jay-Z, Black Thought (The Roots' mc), EPMD, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, Kid and Play, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Cash Money artists, Ludacris, Nelly, Black Eyed Peas (now?).

Hip-Hop: A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Digital Underground, MF Doom, Aesop Rock, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Del the Funky Homosapien, The Roots' musicians, Jurassic 5, 3rd Bass, Black Eyed Peas (then?), RJD2.

Some artists, such as Missy Elliot and Busta Rhymes, appear on first notice to be rappers, particularly because of their tendancy towards braggadoccio, etc., and thier somewhat accessible sound, but upon deeper examination prove to be hip-hop artists.

Similarly, The Neptunes, Timbaland, and Kanye West lay down what one might call hip-hop beats, but most often for rap artists.
