Hardballer

A version of the M1911 built by Arcaida Machine and Tool (AMT) of Southern California. Made of stainless steel, it was originally marketed as a law enforcement weapon. It featured a short-style trigger and single-stack (8-shot) configuration. It was inexpensive for the 1911 design, too, which made it appealing as to law enforcement as well.

Unfortunately, the weapon was horribly unreliable with the hollowpoint ammuniton of that era (80's) and was given the nick-name 'Hardballer' as it would only feed 'hardball' or full-metal jacket ammunition with any reliability.

AMT latched onto the title and began selling it as a target pistol, and even produced a six-inch 'Longslide' version for match-grade uses. Finishes offered were natural stainless and hard chrome, a non-shiny version of the metal popular in the 70's and 80's because of its corrosion resistance.

The 'Silverballer' seen in the popular 'Hitman' video game series is an AMT Hardballer with a polished nickel or chrome finish, a custom feature which would also suggest that the feed ramp had also been polished (now standard on 1911's), which would make feeding hollow-point ammo a breeze.

AMT went out of business about a decade back, and as such 'Hardballers' are something of a collector's item these days.

Jo Harvelle

A kick-ass female hunter on the show Supernatural. Lived with her Mom, Ellen at the Roadhouse until she decided that she wanted to go out hunting on her own. She carries around a knife that was her dad's William Anthony Harvelle. Jo's dad and John Winchester where friends and John had to shoot Bill after a demon attacked him and Ellen thinks that it was John's fault and she doesn't want her daughter to hunt or have anything to do with Dean. Jo was sort of childish when we first meet her becasue she thinks hunting is glamorous. She likes Dean and he likes her too but doesnt want her to get hurt. When Sam gets possesed he goes to Jo because the demon knows that Dean cares for Jo and that it will be hard for him to choose between Jo and Sam. Dean saves Jo and then Jo saves Dean from the water.
She is still out there hunting.
Jo is really the only girl Dean can have a relationship with because they have the same background.

Dean: Shoulda cleaned the pipes.
Jo: What?
Dean: The pipes they are dirty.
Jo: Shut up.

Dean sings REO Speedwagon even though he hates it becasue he can't get it out of his head. (it makes him think of Jo Harvelle)

Hahnville

Hahnville, also known as H-Town to those who live in the STC, is one of the more simple, carefree, cool, and relaxed part of Louisiana. It is home to a wide variety of people and is actually quite nice. There are some rather bad, underdeveloped parts to it but these areas are very few and far between. With its rich culture and diverse nature, I am quite proud to say that I am from Hahnville, and there is NO other place I'd rather be from. Hahnville is also the name of the local high school, Hahnville High - Home of the tigers (dispite the fact that Hahnville High is actually located in Boutte, LA not Hahnville, LA). H-Town STAND UP!!!
