Gunner

In Canada and the United States, a "gunner" is slang for a hyper-competitive student, usually a medical, nursing, legal, or dental. Gunners will do whatever it takes to be the best. This ranges from working very hard to sabotaging peers. The gunners are normally either concerned with getting into a professional school or excelling in the professional school to continue on to a specialty.

The top student in your class, anyone sitting in the front row, anyone who uses a three colored pen in university/college.

Gunner: *Gives correct answer no one else knew*

Average college student: "Of course he/she knew the answer, he/she is such a 'Gunner'!"

A Gunner is usually a very competitive person. Most uses are in the context of a highly competitive and sabotaging medical student.

For example, a medical student who claims he doesn't study and wants a non-competitive speciality like internal medicine while he is preparing for plastic surgery.

Basically, someone working hard in the background.

A gunner is a man who is in jail or prison who starts to masturbate and/or ejaculate while non-inmates, guards or visitors walk by his cell. A gunner can also be seen in the background when you are talking to someone who is in jail via video visitation. The gunner will be seen masturbating and/or ejaculating on the tv screen.
