Gifes prefer to be single and pour any extra time or money they have into their own interests.
Gifes enjoy activities such as playing competitive sports, watching movies and TV, and playing video games.

They do not seek romantic relationships and reject the doctrine of "happy wife / happy life"

(instead opting for "happy gife / happy life")

As Steve was irritated having to label his spouse as his 'life partner', and then unfortunately having to explain who was the husband and wife of the relationship, he decided to call his spouse 'gifey' of which his friends and acquaintances immediately understood the relationship, in all its form and glory.
