Dreadnought

Meaning approximatly "fear(s) nothing", the word first came into use as a name for a class of large (sail) ships, dominant during the early 20:th century. The word has often appeared (occationally with slight difference in spelling, e.g. Dreadnaught).

Examples of modernised usage include (different, fictional) classes of ships, especially spacecraft within various sci-fi franchises, Spacemarine Dreadnoughts from GW:s Warhammer 40K franchise (sarcophagus-like warmachines which hold the remains of fallen, near-incapacitated heroes of the Imperium) and a guitar body. The word also commonly appears as a synonym for just about anything "big" or, in some cases, strong, impressive of awe-inspiring.

When you are in great need of a poo of epic proprtions. Said poo will be so destructive to the toilet that the carnage will be similar to that inflicted on the german town of dresden by allied bombers during world war 2. Therefore your bomb bay is full and you are 'approaching dresden.'

deadend friend

A friend that over the years you have become attached to for unknown reasons. It is usually someone you have invested a lot of time and money in, all in good fun, for a while. They always let you down but you can't seem to stop hanging with them or helping them. They are typically low lifers who take what they can get from anyone and leave everyone thinking they're a good friend, until they're gone.
