When a girl compliments a guy and he has to figure out if she is flirting or just being nice, leaving the compliment in duel state of both an act of friendship and of flirting until the guy asks.

What's wrong with him?

Compliment Whore

n. A person who is constantly insulting themselves in order to receive pity and sympathy from those around them. Sometimes the point of their fishing for compliments is to purposely make the other person feel bad. They won't shut up no matter how many compliments are fed to them.

Can be seen to the equivalency of your girlfriend asking you every 10 seconds if she's fat in that dress.

Girl: OMG I WEIGH 90 POUNDS!! I AM SOOOO FAT!!!
Friend: You're not fat, you're skinnier than me!
Girl: I AM SOOOOOOOO FAT!!!
Friend: Compliment whore...

Girl: I CAN'T BELIEVE I GOT A 98% ON THE QUIZ!! I AM SOOO STUPID!!!
Friend: But that's the highest grade in the class, you're like the smartest person I know!
Girl: I AM SOOOOO STUPID!!!
Friend: Compliment whore...
