This is a type of tool found only in the town of alpine. They are egotistical ass wipes who spend their time working out, going to church, and telling kids they're "gay". They don't do well in school and the only friends they have, are people who feel bad for them.

For when you have done something so shameful but can't stop telling people about it that it almost seems like you're bragging.
"Ok this may be a bit of a shame brag but last night I got so drunk I lost my wallet, phone, ipod, friends, self-respect and woke up in a bin with no shoes on."
OR
"I felt so creepy when I made out with that teenager last night."
"No need to shame brag about that to everyone."

When you, usually consciously, try to get away with bragging about yourself by couching it in a phony show of humility.
"Your inflatable inner-tube is way cooler than my 80-foot yacht. You get to be so much closer to the water and to nature. I envy you, I really do"
"Thanks, that means a lot. Another advantage of having an innertube is that I don't have to fucking humble brag all the time about having a yacht."

30 Rock Episode Dialogue:
Kenneth: The personal essay is way harder than I thought, cause it's not in my nature to brag on myself.
Jenna: Not even a back door brag?
Kenneth: What's a back door brag?
Jenna: Backdoor bragging is sneaking something wonderful about yourself in everyday conversation. Like when I tell people it's hard for me to watch American Idol cause I have perfect pitch. You try it.
Kenneth: Oh, it's hard for me to watch American Idol because there's a water bug on my channel changer.
This comes back later in a talk with Liz:
Jenna: People always underestimate my instincts because of my good looks.
Liz: This is no time for back door bragging!
