uppies and downies

Uppies and Downies is a game played in Workington, Cumbria, England. Basically, grown men chase a small ball through the town from one end to the other, upper town versus lower town. It sometimes gets quite violent.

A word that usually prescribes an uncertain number of occurances. This is usually said in the reference of the numbers 13-19 (hence the 'teen'), but it can be in reference to any number within reason.

Hence 'umteenth'

Umpede

a big dark colored creature.although it may seem civilized it is just a ruse to trap bystanders and catch them unaware where its true colors are shown. note:umpede is mentioned as an 'it' however physically it seems like a male. Recently umpede has also been made into a musical, 'The Tale of Umpede' about a pathetic mourning creature.

Third-Umpire

Dodgy stuff, too close to call, of dubious merit, some characteristic or aspect that "the jury is still out" on. Something that is debatable.

Etymology: Akin to when during a cricket match the on field umpires are faced with a decision that is too difficult to make and so they refer to the Third Umpire for a ruling.

Tom Cruise eating placentas is Third-Umpire.
