It is also misspelled on microsoft word to help promote confusion about the origin of the name. In the dark ages, Tristyn would have been born in the land of Tristania to a mother named Tania. To pull a 'Tristyn' in modern times would be to let out a horrific scream followed by incessant yelling and a defensive mechanism of ungodly stink to ward off any evil doers and nay sayers.
