Someone who interrupts you when you're talking to someone of the opposite gender whom you are interested in pursuing relationship wise and is not necessarily just trying to get in to her pants.
Their interruption usually ends the conversation you and the person of the opposite gender were having.

Tim: Yeah, the movie was pretty great. What's your take on it?
Jill: I thought it was good too. I'd watch it again.
Tim: That's good. A movie for home, then. So, I was wondering if you wanted to do something tomorrow?
Jill: Oh! I'd --
Steve: Hey you guys, what did you think of the movie?
Jill: Hey Steve. Tim and I were just talking about it, we both thought it was good.
Steve: That's cool. Well, I'm going to go get some coffee.
Jill: What were we talking about?
Tim: Oh, nothing.

Tim: Man, Steve is such a talkblocker.

When an electronic device is used as a shield from flirting. For example, when an opportunity occurs (eye contact, adjacent sitting), the potential person shifts attention to their gizmo (fiddling on an iPod, texting on cellphone, opening a netbook).

Tom: Susy, hey Susy that's a sexy name will you come with me on the cruise?
Telemarketer: um, Sorry Tom I'm not able to do that
Tom: oh i guess since you work there you can't come with me, hey that's ok, I can get you a fake ID with a new name baby
Telemarketer: I appreciate that Mr. Barker but let me tell you how to claim your prize, all you have to do is attend a short presentation this Saturday at the Flossy Inn
Tom: OH Susy, I'll meet ya there honey, I'll get a room with a king size bed and..
Telemarketer:Um Mr. Barker please I won't be there, but let me tell you the exciting offers you will hear about at the presentation
