The opposite to the British slang term 'fresh' - A person who, having come from another country to the Uk and being seen as 'fresh' has since adopted to the customs, habits, dialects etc of that particular region.
Adjective. The in between phase of one's journey towards becoming crunchy. During this phase the subject is aware of what they must do to become more environmentally friendly, vegan, minimalist, etc. but have not been able to completely let go of the traditional "Maximalist" lifestyle.
Just like a breadcrumb that is getting stale..it is not quite crunchy yet.
"Kristin decided to make her own homemade, zero waste, environmentally friendly, vegan, fat free, gluten free, politically correct, all natural dish soap and laundry detergent...but she still uses paper towels, buys Starbucks, and posts to Facebook from her iPhone. She is getting stale....not quite crunchy yet."
