To put it simply, "ragebait" is the act of trying to anger somebody through your words or actions, whether it would be for your own entertainment or satisfaction. This is mostly done over the internet, because the people who partake in ragebait are basement-dwelling cowards who hide behind computer screens.
Successfully ragebaiting someone doesn't do shit, but said basement-dwellers act as if it makes you smarter than the other person (which it fucking doesn't).
