Many greats have played as a Phillie such as Mick Schmidt, Steve Carlton, Richie Ashburn and many more. There current team has arguably the best infield in baseball. They are one of the most cherished franchises in sports and are the 2008 World Series Winners.

Their 13-4 record at the end of the 2007 season completed a 7 game comeback to win the division and make the New York Mutts the biggest laughingstock in all of baseball (which they should have been all along)
