Smokes we won't pay

When you rent out a cabin that is in the middle of nowhere and there are no stores around other than a smoke shop on the indian reserve to purchase groceries. You end up going to buy what you need and walking out with a carton of smokes regardless if you smoke or not because they are so cheap on the reserves. They basically give them to you just for coming into the store.
Mike, " Hey Kyle, we need to get some toilet paper and some firewood today from the store or we will have frozen shit running down our legs."

Kyle, " The only store around is that fucked up smoke shop on the gas-huffer reserve down the road."

Mike, " Well atleast Smokes we won't pay"

You don't pay my sub

An argument people in MMORPGs often use to combat critisism (even if intended as kind advice) from other players. While usually associated with Final Fantasy 14 players, it can be seen, albiet less often, with other MMOs due it being able to be used as a general term.
Person 1: Try moving out of the AOE next time. Don't worry about interrupting your casting!
Person 2: Excuse me? You don't pay my sub!
Person 3: *Sarcastic tone* I can give you a subway gift card! *Rimshot*

he didn't actually pay Paul, though

Nope --- devious and undisciplined shyster dat he was, he did indeed rob Peter to obtain funds to pay Paul back, but then he used said stolen funds to just engage in more foolish spending (which of course is why he'd had to borrow money from Paul in da first place!). Shame on him.
One should be very wary of loaning money in any case, even if da requester says he needs da cash just to "pay back Paul" (i.e., to settle a debt he presently owes to someone else)... you should first research da requester's past performance in such matters; you will often discover dat some of his past loans were indeed supposedly earmarked for setting his debts with Paul, but he didn't actually pay Paul, though.
