O’Brien

Noun

1. An act of betrayal or snitching which involves reporting to a higher authority, such as the police or FBI.
2. A pejorative used to refer to someone suspected of being an undercover cop, or someone who turns out to be an undercover cop.
3. A traitor to you or your friend group.

Origin:

Derived from the character O’Brien from George Orwell’s 1984, whom is known for betraying the main protagonist by reporting him to the thought police. First point of usage in this context is unknown.

Person A: You ain’t gonna pull an O’Brien on me, right?

Person B: Hell nah! I hate those government cronies, you’re good!

O'Brien's Law

Named after famous journalist James O'Brien of LBC, O'Brien's Law states that a centrist, when cornered, will always blame Jeremy Corbyn regardless of the facts.

James couldn't get it up, and so he blamed Jeremy Corbyn. Thus O'Brien's Law was born.
