Katrinatreatment: when your local government during a crisis does nothing for your neighborhood because it is not a rich area of the city...example during the record snow storm blizzard no plowing of streets in your neighborhood, no shelters set-up nearby when power is out for days, all city officials who live in city have power and streets plowed in their neighborhoods. Mayor does not care, and city emergency hotline tells u when u call about no plow, and no way to leave, and u have no power or heat, they tell you "u are on your own" and hang up...that is called getting a "Katrinatreatment."

When I called the City Emergency Hotline to report no power no heat no plow in my neighborhood they said "u are on your own." That is called getting a "Katrinatreatment."
