grungemo

One who combines components of grunge fashion and emo fashion, as well as listens to both genres. While this will seem implausible to some on both sides of the spectrum, upon closer inspection you will find that they share some very similar characteristics. They are both rooted in punk music, are both considered decade defining, and are both shunned by those in "normal" society. Musically, they consist of angsty lyrics and melodic instrumentation. There are some common fashion staples, as well, such as Chuck Taylor's or long/dyed hair sometimes covering the face. Fashion-wise, a grungemo will often end up combining aspects of fashion, and could be seen in torn jeans just as often as black drainpipes.

Person 1: Look at that grungemo guy over there.

Person 2: Where?

Person 1: Over there, with the torn skinnies and Pearl Jam Stickman shirt.

grungecore

A new genre of music that is the next step in the neo-grunge movement. Imagine Nirvana or Alice In Chains played twice or three times as fast. Then throw in a double kick bassdrum, an unnecessary amount of guitar distortion and pile-driving bass and you get.....grungecore

Guy1: "Dude that new band is absolutely nuts!"

Guy2: "Really? Never heard of em. What kind of music are they?"

Guy1: "Grungecore."

Guy2: "Then it has to be good!"

Just another of many nicknames for the asshole.

I tend to refer to it as my grungehole because somehow it just sounds a little less vulgar in front of the kids!

grungerous

A mash up of both grunge & glamorous -

Grunge - a type of rock music and a fashion for untidy clothes, popular in the early 1990s:
Nirvana was one of the most famous grunge bands.

Glamorous - attractive in an exciting and special way:
a glamorous woman/outfit
a glamorous job
She was looking very glamorous.

My style is influenced by early 1990s grunge, but more polished and glamorous. I'm grungerous.
