A form of active listening in which one repeats something that has just been said to them, but transposing words or letters to give a new meaning to the message. Its main purpose is usually to annoy, amuse, or both.

Sexual Dyslexia 

Sexual dyslexia is when you see the spelling of a word, and your brain automatically turns it into something disgusting, dirty or sexual. Like ORGANISM becoming ORGASM. etc.

dyslexia

I have dyslexia and it is a lot more than just getting numbers and letters mixed up. your brain also learns in a completly different way. for example i almost failed the first grade because i could not read. my teacher told my parents that if i could not read on a first grade level by the end of the summer she was going to have to fail me. my parents then took me to a psychologist and she diagnosed me with Dyslexia and ADD. my parents found a tutor that knew how to teach kids with dyslexia, and in 2 months i was on a 4th grade reading level. it also effects my spelling. small words such as it i forget how to spell. I am now in the 11th grade have a 4.5 GPA i am taking college classes and i am in the top 6% of my class.

having dyslexia does not mean that you are stupid.

Time Zone Dyslexia

A condition where the sufferer routinely adds or subtracts wrong when planning things in more than one time zone.

Side effects include missed appointments, multiple calendar resends, manic tap-dancing through that presentation you thought was 2 hours from now. Adrenaline, cringing, lame apologies.

Coping mechanisms: OCD-like checking of the hour; counting out from East to West coast on your fingers. Pinky: Eastern is 1 pm; Ring finger is Central - so, noon; Pacific is the pointer, that'd be 10 a.m. - right? Right?

You told NYC to dial in at 10 but Chicago at 11; so is the call for 10 or 12EST?

Disney Dyslexia 

The inability to see the “D” in the Disney logo as the letter it is meant to be, instead seeing it as a backwards G or just a weird symbol.

“Why is Disney spelt with a backwards G? Shouldn’t in be pronounced Gisney?”
“It’s not a backwards G, you’ve just got Disney dyslexia!”
