What Disney has essentially done to both the Marvel and Star Wars universe; ignore making an interesting plot and characters, but instead turning movies into a cash-grab with cgi-filled effects. Which sucks considering how much they've done with their Pixar films.

Person 1: I've heard Disney acquired Fox entertainment; how's that going to work out.

Person 2: The same as before with disneyfication; ruin something for the sake of money.

Disneyfication

A type of adaptation where all dark stories (such as Grimms fairy tales) are turned into child friendly by giving the stories happy endings and an altered plot

This term comes from Disney who was known for their animated movies : Snow White , sleeping beauty, Cinderella and other classic films

“Soo what if I turned Bluebeard into a kidnapper who locked his wives instead of killing them”

“Wait a second? You disneyfication to turn it into a children’s story”

“Um no…Since blue beard is a fairy tale, I’m just trying to make it child friendly”
