A person or organization that does things or operates in such a manner that is not in their best interest. This can be caused by a mental deficiency or some other psychological disorder. The sad reality is that this condition not only harms the individual or organization, but also everyone associated with that person or organization.

Urban Dictionary has been operating in a self destructive mode for many years by not instituting a plan for allowing its volunteer editors to vote to remove homophobic, racist and misogynist definitions that have been "already suggested for removal" but were kept because of the immaturity or mental deficiency of some of its editors.
