Conroy

A term used to describe a statement or action which defies logic beyond all comprehension and in the face of all evidence to the contrary.

Named after Australian Senator Stephen Conroy, who continues to push the government's internet censorship policy despite almost universal condemnation and evidence that it will be completely impractical, unworkable and counter-productive in its stated aims.

Conboy

Conboy is the name of an Irish clan. It is also a surname. The surname derives from the Gaelic O'Conbhuide meaning "descendant of the yellow hound", "yellow hound", and "fast runner." The name was first found in northwest Ireland in the province of Ulster. Yellow Convoy

The large-scale exodus of Irish Catholic immigrants leaving Glasgow to return again to Ireland upon the onset of World War II. As war appeared imminent, a vast amount of these creatures went back home in cowardice with their tails between their grossly misshapen legs.

Look: the Yellow Convoy...happy to enjoy the benefits of living in this country, but when the going gets tough, off they scuttle.
