Claptrap(K LAP T RAP) noun. A
reference to an unusually gaping mouth that usually shuts only by force or shame. The back draft caused by the sudden slamming of a Claptrap often causes flies ,
mosquitoes , and other flying insects to become trapped inside the gaping maw. Claptraps have been known to be fatal on rare occasions when the amassed flies create a hazardous blockage of the airway ,causing the Claptrapper to
asphyxiate.
