A type of restaurant in which fat/obese Americans pay a set fee and then eat as much as they want. Said by theorists to be a major contribution to America's obesity problem.
Indeed, one of life's unanswered questions, is how the hell can the American hospitality sector not go into recession with the vulgar amounts that its customers shove down their throats at buffet restaurants.

The food your friends don't eat at a restraunt. To "order the buffet" is to not order food based on the fact that your friends won't finish. Best used at breakfast where the portions are large and the food (pancakes, eggs, hashbrowns) don't box and reheat well.
Friend 1: I'm getting the Hungry Man. What about you?
Friend 2: Think I'm just going to have the buffet.
(to Waitress) Friend 2: I'm fine, thanks.
