ajar relationship

You hook up with someone, you can't hook up with other people, but you don't have to go on dates or anything. You do have to tell the person when you're moving on, but there shouldn't be any hard feelings. You can snuggle, sex, or kiss.

It's not a relationship because you don't need to call everyday or go on dates. It's not an open relationship because you're exclusive (hello, std's.) And it's not a friends with benefits because you don't have to hang out besides the snuggling, spooning, kissing, sexing part. It's not a booty call because it can happen at any hour.

Frederick and Meg are in an ajar relationship; they can only hook up with each other but they don't actually have to hang out.
