Career Laugh

A Career Laugh is a fake laugh designed to further your standings on the career ladder. Used primarily to laugh at superiors jokes and vaguely funny comments so you keep in their favour. To other members of staff someone who has a Career Laugh tends to come across as very annoying and fake... and the laugh irritating to say the least.

A Career Laugher will force a laugh out on the telephone to clients and superiors.

courtesy laugh

When someone tells an absolutely terrible joke, and no one laughs, you give them a courtesy laugh. This should not be mocking and done very tastefully.

Jim- "...And so the atom says, 'I lost an electron!' And the bartender says, 'Are you sure?' and the atom goes,'I'm Postive!'"

Jake (thinking)- Holy fuck that was a horrible joke, he needs a courtesy laugh

Julia Laughing

The action of Julia Laughing is referred to when a person is laughing hysterically to hide the fact that they are actually crying. This can happen when someone may say something mean to you that upsets you but you don’t want to seem week so you laugh but as you laugh tears stream down your face.

Person: you fat hoe
Person 2: *starts Julia laughing because it hurt their feelings but they don’t want to show that*

That Was So Funny I Forgot to Laugh!

A phrase used to mock someone when they say a joke or something they think is absolutely hilarious, but everyone else thinks it's retarded. Sarcasm in its most extreme form.

Chad: "Okay, okay. A Care Bear and a ninja got in a fight. Who one?"
Me: "The ninja."
Chad: "No. The Care Bear. You see, it had just eaten an eighteen inch burrito, and it farted. The stank smell killed the ninja! HA HA HA HA HA HA HAAA!!!" *more annoying laughter continues*
Me: "Wow Chad! That was so funny I forgot to laugh!"

A laugh that is both unnecessary and eccentric for the matter that the laugh is about. The laugh is usually loud and sounds kind of fake, with the laugher's mouth wide open.
