Boatager 

A person or people that regularly visits their boats ‘in marina’ and essentially are using this space as a floating cottage. They rarely actually pass the ‘pump out station’ and venture into the ‘big waters’

What is up with ‘Rain Man”? He just comes and sits on his boat and ‘goes nowhere’. We need need more boatagers like him to support the marina. Even during the summer solstice, he never ventured into the TO islands to enjoy the amazing sunset.

No boats on the water 

An alternative way of describing somebody as smooth brained.

When there are no boats on the water, it is implied that there is no wake and thus the water is calm. This is analogous to the idea that a person with a brain comprised of wrinkles / folds is smarter than one with a brain that is less wrinkly. Thus in this analogy, the brain is the body of water and the wake is the wrinkles / folds (or lack thereof).

Me: Can you believe this kid locked himself out of his house again?
Friend: Definitely no boats on the water for him today.

Boatie 

Common slang at Oxford and Cambridge for someone who is obsessed with rowing.

Symptoms include:

- Being on a boat club committee

- Excessive rowing chat in public places or during meal times

- The habitual wearing of rowing stash around college

- Incessant boasting at breakfast about how great he/she is for getting up at 6am
