Gentleman's C

A grade given to a student (traditionally with wealthy parents) instead of a failing grade.

Bobby didn't study at all the entire semester. However, he received a gentleman's C because his father donates lots of money to the college.

Gentleman's Third

Doing the absolute bare minimum of work at university in order to pass, thus obtaining a third class degree, in full knowledge that upon leaving university lucrative contacts (usually a relative) has a high salary job position available for you regardless. The purpose being that you can enjoy the student lifestyle without that boring 'work' element.

Who needs to revise when my gentleman's third is all I need? Beers are on me (or in me! LOL!) lads!

When a middle-aged man or older takes a break from his marital duties and spouse and acts like he is single without any responsibilities or obligation to his family or spouse.

Gentleman's 10

A sarcastic term to describe a score of 10 or worse on any particular golf hole. In non competitive games "A Gentleman's 10" will often be the lowest score tallied for a player even if they scored a 11, 12, 13 etc. The other players are considered "gentlemen" for not making the suffering player record his terrible score.

Bill: What did you get on the last hole?
John: It was terrible I scored a 12.
Bill: Go ahead and record it as a Gentleman's 10 and we'll call it even
