Cass Review

A politically motivated "review" masquerading as meta-analysis in which Dr. Hillary Cass purposefully tuned their demands for good-enough evidence as so far to exclude every single study that don't fit their beliefs. In order to do that, she excluded 98% of studies that aren't high-quality (ie. those that aren't double-blinded or didn't had a control group, despite their obvious impossibility). This allowed her to pull out the conclusion that she wanted.

What's the point of low-quality studies if they are useless? If they were, they wouldn't be done anymore.

Not only that, the voice of trans people were dismissed as "biased" so that she doesn't have to comfort with uncomfortable truth.

The Cass Review is a complete disgrace to trans people in UK.

Chocolate box review

A review for service that's really advertising copy, paid for by the provider in time, money or extras. Usually slick and well written (like the descriptions of the contents of boxes of chocolate). Never mentions anything negative or the actual details of the service, like the price paid (if any) or the true relationship between reviewer and provider (may even be the same person).

Ted: Fool! It's a chocolate box review.
