High School Confidential

A campy late 1950s anti-drug propaganda film starring Russ Tamblyn with Jackie Coogan (Uncle Fester from The Addams Family) playing a soda fountain owner/drug lord. It opens up with a sequence of Jerry Lee Lewis playing the title song, one of his all time best songs (The Killer was considered to represent the height of depravity at the time to mainstream America, hence his presence in the film). One could say it's more or less the dark side of "Happy Days" as clean cut American teenagers start smoking pot, listening to rock and blues, getting into juvenile delinquency and (implied, given the era) promiscuity, and eventually heroin. It's a lot more fun to watch than "Reefer Madness" not only because of Jerry Lee (and the whole idea of Uncle Fester getting kids hooked on pot and then moving them on to heroin) but because it is actually a pretty well made film in a 50s B way.

In the 70s people would go to midnight screenings of High School Confidential and get stoned.

Self-Confidence

Something that creates a polarity between the "girls"you meet in high school and "women"you meet in the real world. The same vice vera.

Man #1 Remember when the girls in high school was very insecure. Now since I'm older, women tend to be more comfortable in their skin since they've gotten older.

Man #2 I think word that best describes that is self-confidence or maturity if I'm using it the right way I think.....

Conficker

A computer worm that managed to infect a large number of computers. On April 1st, 2009 the Conficker worm will simply start taking more steps to protect itself, in doing so it might infect even more machines. The Conficker worm has created secure infrastructure for cybercrime. The worm allows its creators to remotely install software on infected machines. The worm effectively blocks access to most websites and/or redirects the user to alternate sites who want to send SPAM, steal IDs.

It is recommended that users download patches for Microsoft and their anti virus programs. As usual, users with OSX (MACs) do not have to worry.

The shitstorm as a result of the Conficker virus has caused Microsoft to do nothing to make their OS better, but instead they offered a measly $250,000 for anyone with information on the authors of the malicious code.
